Our 2014 Lenten offering will go to the UCC Homes Benevolent Fund. Director of Public Relations and Fund Development Victoria M. Velez will be with us on Sunday, March 30th to share about the Homes and how your gift will make a difference for those in need.
The Benevolent Fund is the primary source of financial assistance for residential and assisted living/personal care residents who are unable to pay for the cost of their care and who are not deemed eligible for governmental assistance. A large portion of the support comes from the suggested per capita contributions by the corporation’s sponsoring congregations from the Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon, and Mercersburg Associations of the United Church of Christ.
